Strike Action at Liverpool

It has been announced that Liverpool dock workers have planned strike action from 19.09.2022 to 03.10.2022.The action follows an eight day walkout last month by dock workers at Felixstowe Port.At this stage it has not been confirmed whether Vehicle Booking Slots (VBS) will be suspended or whether hauliers will have access to collect containers from the port during this period.Carriers do not currently have plans to mitigate or alleviate charges that may occur due to the strike action and, as such, these will remain for the account of the importer.Neptune is continuing to liaise with carriers to work on contingencies and to understand their plans.
