National Day Golden Week

Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1stevery year to honour the founding of People’s Republic of China. On that day,many activities are held nationwide.

The 7-day holiday from October 1st to 7th iscalled 'Golden Week', during which a large number of Chinese citizens gotraveling or have family time as many factories shut down over this period

These festivities could result in vessel omissions andrestricted space in the run up to Golden Week.

Golden Week traditionally marks the start of a rushfor bookings in the run up to Christmas period as companies look to ensurestock is received ahead of this time and shipped prior to the Chinese New Yearclosures in January 2020

We strongly advise notifying us of orders that requiredelivery before Christmas 2019 as soon as possible to ensure bookings aresecured on the earliest available vessels.

This holiday can also spark a hike in rates ahead ofthe increased demand for space aboard vessels sailing from the Far East overthe next few months
