Heavy Rains and Flooding in India

India is currently experiencing adverse weather conditions which are resulting in some delays to shipments from this part of the world.Severe flooding and heavy rain has been causing delays to consignments as the country is now in the middle of the Monsoon Season. These delays to shipments are being caused as containers are not able to reach the ports or ICD’s (Inland Container Depots), such as Jaipur, in order to meet their scheduled vessels. Our origin counterparts are striving to ensure delays are mitigated as much as possible. Please be aware that ports, such as Mundra, are having to operate on a slower basis due to the weather as they are having to cease operational work in some parts, due to the heavy rain.If your consignments have been directly affected by this, we will advise you accordingly and if you have any questions regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact us.For more information on the flooding please visit the following links: https://www.itv.com/news/2020-08-14/jaipur-flooding-heavy-rainfall-brings-major-indian-cities-to-a-standstillhttps://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/10/asia/kerala-landslide-deaths-intl-hnk/index.htmlhttps://indianexpress.com/article/india/gujarat-one-dead-3-missing-in-mundra-vishwamitri-nears-danger-level-6557551/
