Flooding in Western Germany

Heavy rainfall on the 14.07.21 has caused flooding across the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Western Germany, closing parts of the rail line utilised between Italy and the UK.We have been advised the Rhine Valley line between Cologne, Germany and Basel, Switzerland is closed South bound, blocking trains traveling to Italy, and partially closed North bound, causing delays due to congestion on the line. These closures will inevitably cause further delays on units already railed, as well as any which have been loaded or are scheduled to load.We are working closely with the rail operators to ascertain when the rail lines are likely to fully reopen and we will keep you informed. We hope you understand that these circumstances are beyond our control, and we are doing our utmost to deliver your goods at the earliest opportunity during this difficult period. If you would like further details, please do not hesitate to contact your account handler.
