Felixstowe Port Weather Warnings

High Winds Forecast Winds at the Port Of Felixstowe are forecast to increase over the course of today with weather reports predicting gusts exceeding 40 mph. This forecast is in place through to Thursday with hauliers warning of expected disruptions to the ports turnaround.Felixstowe port will cease crane and port operations once windspeeds reach 45 mph. With these conditions forecast there is a risk of the ports closing.London Gateway is also expected to see increased windspeeds over the next few days with it forecast to drop off on Thursday afternoon. We are also being advised of slower turnarounds out of Liverpool port due to one of the terminals being closed at night as new cranes are being installed. This has seen a reduction in available Vehicle Booking Slots (VBS).These closures may have an impact on deliveries and container restitution, we are working closely with our hauliers to mitigate any delays to scheduled deliveries.Should your shipments be directly affected we will advise you accordingly. If you have any questions regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact us.
