Adverse Weather in the Far East
After several months of clement weather, the typhoon season is now starting to impact the shipping lines and port operations in Far East Asia. This part of the world has been hit by six typhoons in quick succession over the past two weeks, which has caused severe delays on port operations. As a result waiting times in impacted ports including Shanghai and Ningbo have increased. The carriers are doing everything they can to minimize the impact to shipments, including deploying shuttles to connect affected cargo to the intended Mother Vessel where possible. We will continue to monitor this situation closely and advise should there be any updated or contingencies laid on by the shipping lines.
