Tianjin Explosions

Port city of Tianjin rocked by explosions.

On Wednesday 12.08.15, at around 23:20 local time, a huge explosion took place at a warehouse storing hazardous goods within the port city of Tianjin.

Buildings within a 2km radius had windows blown out, offices blocks were destroyed and hundreds of cars burnt-out.

The terminals and port operations are currently on lock down until the full extent of the damage can be assessed.

Due to this, vessel operations and the access to the port and surrounding areas has ceased.

We are in the process of obtaining further information from our local agents and respective shipping lines but we anticipate the recovery time could be extensive.

Once further information is obtained we will update you accordingly.

Please contact your operational contact at Neptune to discuss any specific shipments.
